1941/09/01 – Deutsch besetztes Frankreich Arc-et-Senans Errichtung Sammellager

1 September 1941

On the orders of the Prefect of the Doubs department in German-occupied France, the French authorities transfer 50 ‘Nomades’ to a camp in Arc-et-Senans, which is officially declared a detention camp on 15 May 1942. During its existence, around 500 people are interned there.
