800 Sinti from East Prussia, German Reich, are transferred from the prison in Bialystok (German-occupied, de facto annexed Poland) to Brest, in German-occupied Poland, and held there in a former prisoner-of-war camp. In early 1943, the Sinti are moved into the ghetto, whose Jewish prisoners were murdered in October 1942.
