1942/02/17 – 1941/02/19 – Lager Crveni Krst Serbien Erschießung 1,000 Häftlinge Vergeltung für deutsche Soldaten

In reprisal for the killing of German soldiers during an escape of prisoners from the camp Crveni Krst in Niš, Serbia, about 1,000 prisoners are shot at the ‘Bubanj’ killing site outside of town, among them Roma. After these and subsequent mass shootings, Roma labour squads are brought to the shooting site and forced to bury the corpses.
