1942/07/01 – Niederlande (Durchgangslager Westerbork)

In the German occupied Netherlands, the Central Refugee Camp Westerbork becomes a transit camp under the control of the Security Service (SD) for the deportation of Jews. On 15 July, the first transport leaves the camp to Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration and extermination camp.
