1942/09/15 – Flucht von Josef Serinek

15 September 1942

Josef Serinek manages to escape with a few other men from a work group outside of the ‘Zigeunerlager’ Lety near Pisek, Protectorate Bohemia and Moravia (German occupied Czech lands) and joins the resistance movement. His wife Pavlína Janečková and their six children die in Lety or in Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration and extermination camp.
