1942/09/15 – Flucht von Josef Serinek

15 September 1942

Josef Serinek manages to escape with a few other men from a work group outside of the ‘Zigeunerlager’ Lety near Pisek, Protectorate Bohemia and Moravia (German-occupied Czech lands) and joins the resistance movement. His wife Pavlína Janečková and their six children die in Lety or in Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration and extermination camp.
