The ‚Belsen Trial‘ begins in Lüneburg, Germany, which is also the first Auschwitz trial on German soil, as several defendants were not only deployed in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, but also in the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration and extermination camp.
