1979/10/27 – Gedenkfeier in Bergen-Belsen

27 October 1979

On the initiative of the German Sinti and Roma civil rights movement, the first international commemoration ceremony is held on the grounds of Bergen-Belsen memorial site with around 2,000 participants, including 500 Sinti and Roma.
