2016/10/29 – Gedenkfeier in Montreuil-Bellay

At a national commemoration ceremony on the site of the former Montreuil-Bellay detention camp in France, President François Hollande recognises for the first time France’s responsibility for the suffering inflicted on the Sinti and Roma during the Second World War. On this occasion, the ‘Instante nomade’ memorial by artist Armelle Benoît is unveiled.
