27 September 1939143 Sinti and Roma, all men, are deported from Dachau concentration camp in Germany to Mauthausen concentration camp in Austria.

22 May 1941600 prisoners, including 46 Sinti and Roma, are transferred from the Buchenwald concentration camp, Germany, to the Mauthausen concentration camp, Austria. On 28 June and 4 July, transports with a further 64 and 31 Sinti and Roma follow.
